Hi there,
Boston, New York, Vegas, DC next week, and 2024 is seemingly a few sleeps away. Who else woke up muttering “omfg it’s November”?
The recaps, reviews, and revelations have all hit your feeds by now, and before you know it predictions and out-of-office replies.
Coming off of this beautifully manic month, I get the mad dash to inbox-zero. But November is a pivotal month. It’s the month in which we lay plans for 2024. It’s the month in which your GTM strategy for 2024 is solidified or is lost before the puck drops.
It’s the time in which we lay the groundwork and start building the foundation that becomes NY FinTech Week 2024. The most important FinTech family meeting on the east coast.
Seeing the FinTech community grow into the strongest across every vertical in tech, has been an honor and privilege. Let’s rewind a decade or so in the FinTech world; before podcasts, before newsletters, and before FinTech was a personality.
(Empire, Circa 2012. Peep Jesse @ Ally on the right, and three soon-icorns, Sunil @ Socure, Dee @ MoneyLion, Jon @ Betterment, all in the front row each with a couple million in the bank.)
It was just the beginning. Slowly, and then all at once.
Fast forward to the present day, and the landscape of FinTech has evolved beyond recognition. We've seen mass-scale digitalization across every sub-vertical, from insurance, to payments, and depository accounts, for starters.
We’ve also witnessed bubbles bursting, as VCs peddled “everything is FinTech” to LPs. The past 18 months have been fueled with questions around venture capital, layoffs, and what the future of “hype” can look like, realistically.
So, what’s next? You decide!
That's the beauty of it – the resilient and efficient nature of innovation. It's an arena where the passionate founders, the tireless innovators, and the grinding operators build the future.
An arena in which the Empire team is proud to act as a platform.
I’m excited to announce that today, tickets are officially on sale for the Empire FinTech Conference, happening on Wednesday, April 10th – right in the middle of New York FinTech Week.
NY FinTech Week is a week-long series of events, ranging from workshops and discussions to happy hours and parties, designed for attendees near and far to hear from the best and brightest across FinTech.
And when we say near and far, we mean it. Last year, 5,000 individuals from across the globe were in attendance, representing 30 countries.
We invite you to join us, share your insights, and be a part of the conversations. Because as much as things have changed, our dedication to this mission remains. And we want nothing more than to use our platform to facilitate connection, collaboration, and ultimately a step-function in FinTech innovation.
Stay tuned for more updates on New York FinTech Week 2024 and how you can be a part of this exciting journey.
P.S.- Did I mention it’s entirely free to host your own FinTech Week event?
